Evelyn A. Dysarz, D.C.


Dr. Dysarz saw her first Indianapolis chiropractic patient in 1986, after graduating with a cum laude degree from National College of Chiropractic (now National University of Health Sciences) in suburban Chicago. She was pleased to rank third in her graduating class, as she and her husband Chris Howey were also raising two small children. She had received a BA degree from the University of Michigan, in Ann Arbor and received a second bachelor’s degree from National College.

She grew up in suburban Detroit, and has worked as a newspaper reporter and a student recruiter for a community college. She has completed 10 Indianapolis mini-marathons, and enjoys gardening, canoeing, and pastel painting.


Christopher L. Howey, Ph.D.

Dr. Howey began counseling individuals and families in 1986 after completing post-graduate studies at The Alfred Adler Institute (now Adler School of Professional Psychology) in Chicago where he also earned a certificate in Family Counseling.

He holds a PhD degree in Instructional Systems, minoring in Organizational Psychology; a Master’s of Education degree with a minor in psychology; a certificate in facilitating Group Process; and a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education for the Emotionally Handicapped. He oversees off-campus instruction for all special needs students in Indianapolis Public Schools. His interests include muzzleloading shooting and computer applications.


Other interests:

Both Dr. Dysarz and Dr. Howey practice a non-competitive “peaceful” martial art called Aikido. They helped create AikiConcepts, Inc., in 1991, as a non-profit, tax-exempt school to teach Aikido and T’ai Chi Ch’uan in northeast Indianapolis, and volunteer as its senior Aikido instructors. They are both black belts, Evelyn sixth and Chris fifth.
